awful ogre boasts a bit

What could be more awful than an ogre named Awful?

Awful Ogre is a proud and oversized addition to the literary canon. And about as explosive as a canon.

I am awful when it's sunny,
Snowy, cloudy, windy, rainy.
I am awful, awful, awful
Summer, winter, spring, and fall.
“You are awful, Awful Ogre!”
Roar the other awful ogres—
I alone am Awful Ogre,
And the awfulest of all.

From the poem, “Awful Ogre Boasts a Bit”

Awful Ogre's Lunch

awful ogre speaks of transportation

I went out for a hot dog lunch

And sat down by a dragon.

We gobbled hot dogs by the bunch

Then ate the hot dog wagon.

The illustration for the poem “Awful Ogre Boasts a Bit” in all of its expanse seemed a fitting subject for a repeating pattern, for use on a tablecloth or maybe cloth napkins. Paul created this pattern in Photoshop and posted it on the website Spoonflower.com in several different color variants.
